Do you keep on booking too much work and jumping from client to client, without a clear direction? This focused session is designed to help you step back from the constant busyness and take a clear, honest look at how you’re spending your time and energy. Together, we’ll explore your current workload, priorities and capacity, and shape a strategy that supports where you want your business to go and not just focus on what’s immediately in front of you. You’ll leave with clearer boundaries, a stronger sense of direction, and practical next steps that help you work more intentionally and sustainably.
You’ll also walk away with my Capacity Planning tool spreadsheet tool that I will train you how to use in the session. This can be used time and time again in the future.
Before we meet, I’ll take time to understand your business and the context behind your current strategy and capacity. This means we can dive straight into meaningful discussion during your session.
I will send through some prompts beforehand for you to spend at least an hour working through to make sure we make the most of our time together.
We’ll start by focusing on your strategy for the future – even if you’re not clear on this we can work on it together. Once we get clear on your strategy, we will start to analyse your current workload and I will introduce you to my capacity planning tool.
Expect lots of post-it notes, open conversation and time to zoom out, connect the dots and make decisions. I’ll guide the session, ask deep questions, challenge assumptions where needed, and help you develop a capacity plan aligned to your strategy.
You’ll leave the session with a clear strategy for your business and a clear capacity plan, all mapped out in a spreadsheet that you can use time and time again.
You’ll receive this strategy plan digitally as a Miro Board so you can continue to tweak and change it as your business evolves. This is a one off session, but is really well paired with my Reflection accountability packages.
Sessions can be held over zoom or in person in Leeds*.

*Additional room hire cost of approx £10 – £20.

Each session is designed to meet you where you are and I have a range of sessions available to align with your goals and budget.
My signature 5-hour one-off planning and strategy session full of post-it notes, creative thinking and clear next steps for your business. Helping you to make big steps in your business
Ongoing, flexible accountability sessions to support your business and keep your plans moving forward.
A shorter 1-2 hour deep dive to untangle a specific challenge and leave with decisions made and direction set.
Absolutely. Strategy isn’t about complicated documents in bigger companies; it’s about making better decisions day to day. You’re making strategic choices all the time, often without the space to step back and think them through. These sessions are designed to help give you direction and highlight how you can make strategic decisions easily every day, not just jumping from thing to thing.
My Strategy and Capacity sessions tend to work best for businesses that have been running for at least a year, as we will be reviewing your current capacity and it’s helpful to have an idea of where you want your business to be (or not to be!) in the future.
I work primarily with small business owners, freelancers and founders across a wide range of sectors. Many are service-based or creative businesses, but what they tend to have in common is lots of ideas, limited time, and a desire to run their business in a way that feels aligned and sustainable. If you’re thoughtful about how you want to run your business and have lots of ideas, you’re in the right place.
I’ve delivered Incubate sessions with over 140 small businesses across a wide range of sectors, and that experience has shown me that this way of working really does translate, whatever your industry. I’ve worked with designers, photographers, personal trainers, a private chef, architects, a psychologist, copywriters, coaches and many more. If you’d like to talk through whether this approach would be a good fit for you and your business, book a call to chat through further.
A Spotlight session and an Incubate session use the same way of working but they differ in depth and focus.
A Spotlight session is shorter and more targeted. It’s designed to zoom in on one specific area of your business, such as pricing, a new idea, a launch, or a particular challenge. You’ll leave with clarity and an action plan for that one focus area. It’s ideal when you know what you want to work on and don’t need a full, wide-ranging review.
An Incubate session is longer and more immersive. It gives you the space to step back and look at your business as a whole. This is where we decide on strategy, review your full business and create a more joined-up plan. It’s ideal if things feel tangled, you’re holding lots of ideas, or you want a more comprehensive planning boost.
Sessions can be held online or in person in Leeds. Both formats are equally effective as I use physical Post-It notes, or virtual ones in a tool called Miro. They are always held in a completely private space.
You can book a totally free, no pressure phone call with me to see if we’d be a good fit. I’d love to learn more about your business and I can tell you all about the sessions. Book a call here.
All mentoring sessions are in confidence and everything we discuss stays between us. I often share when someone has had a session online (but never the content of the session) and I always check with them first if this is ok to share. Quite a few people have booked a session in private – with one person declaring me as their ‘secret planning weapon’!
Yes, absolutely! This is your session and it can be shaped around what feels right for you. Just let me know in advance if others will be involved, as this can influence how we structure the session and what we focus on. For example, you may prefer to keep certain areas, such as finances or sensitive decisions, as a private discussion.
Yes. I offer 20% off all 1:1 mentoring sessions for social enterprises and charities. Having worked in the third sector for 15 years, this is something that matters to me, and it’s part of my commitment to making my services more accessible to organisations making an impact.
