Hi, I’m Sophie and I’m an operations and planning expert with a love of all things creative. I love working with all kinds of small businesses to bring ideas and planning together – which is where I believe the magic happens.
I live in Leeds with my husband and two young sons – I love art, food, travel and I’m particularly partial to a cup of biscuit brew!

Graduated from Leeds University Business School with a BA in Management
Started working in Project Management and Operations roles across a range of social enterprises. Budgets were tight and the learning curve was even tigher!
Trained in Human Centred Design (Overlap Associates)
Trained in Creative Problem Solving (Now Go Create)
Founded Super Seconds Festival, a large bi-annual online event that encourages creatives to sell seconds and end of line stock all on one big weekend. This is still running 5 years later and I have a dedicated team of freelancers who work on it with me – we have worked with over 1250 businesses!
Made the decision to become a Limited Company
Achieved an ILM L3 in Effective Coaching (Leeds Beckett University)
Trained in Building Innovative Ideas (Overlap Associates)
Started to deliver business skills workshops – since then I have delivered 75+ workshops to over 1,500 people.
Graduated from The University of Leeds with an MA in Culture, Creativity and Entrepreneurship
Got a promotion at work to the senior team and became Head of Operations for a 30-person business with a £1.2 million turnover. I led recruitment, capacity planning, quality assurance, project planning and a team of 15 people for the next 6 years.
Launched my first ‘side hustle’, a creative business called Ink & Bear, where I sold screen printed products and taught printmaking. I ran this alongside my full time job for 3 years.
Took the leap into self employment and it was the best decision I’ve ever made!
Launched my first Creative Incubator and since then have completed Business Planning and Strategy sessions with 140 small business owners
Co-Designed a national 10-week bootcamp programme called Business and AI for Creatives that has now been delivered to over 1,500 people across the UK.
Invested in a rebrand, a brand new website and changed my name from The Creative Incubator to Three Beams Thinking Ltd.
