Creative Field Trip is a brand new, different kind of networking event for small business owners,
Leave behind the pitch over an 8am coffee, or awkward small talk. This is a chance to make genuine connections in a small group setting, whilst being encouraged to slow down and enjoy doing something creative together (over great coffee and chats!). This small-group experience is designed to help you get away from your desk, notice the world around you, gather inspiration and connect with other business owners in a more natural and informal way.
Stepping away from your desk and routine can create the space for new ideas, fresh perspective and more meaningful conversations about your business.
No artistic experience is needed whatsoever and this open to all small business owners – regardless of the nature of your business! This is about curiosity, creativity and noticing, not being “good at art”.
What the day looks like:
We’ll start with coffee and introductions, head out on a guided creative walk around Horsforth with prompts to notice textures, colour and ideas, then return to create collages and have relaxed conversations around self-employment. You’ll be guided through some discussions to get to know each other’s businesses on a deeper level.
Your ticket includes:
- Coffee and cake on arrival at Café Yoga
- A mini creative kit to use throughout the day
- Guided creative activities and prompts
- Collage materials and creative supplies
- A structured day, starting with coffee and inspiration gathering and ending in collage and conversation.
- A relaxed, facilitated experience with a small group of business owners (up to 12 people) in Stocked. (a beautiful independent giftshop and co-working space in Horsforth)
- Co-working included after the event from 3pm – 4.30pm at Stocked (if you’d like to stay)
- Optional lunch add-on available – Bagel menu from Slow Rise

- The space at Stocked. is accessed via two flights of stairs. If you have any questions before booking, please get in touch.
- Refunds – 100% refund will be offered 2 weeks before if cancelled, 50% if cancelled 1 week before and no refund offered if cancelled within 1 week.
- We will wander for a bit outside, but if the weather is rainy we’ll focus on some of the inspiration we can gather inside too.
- We’ll be settling in from around 12.45pm for lunch and collage, so if you need to leave earlier than 3pm, you’ll only miss some collaging time!
- I’d suggest parking at Hall Park Car Park – there is a very small charge. Or you can park in the surrounding streets free of charge.
- The nearest train station is Horsforth Train station – 24 minute walk away. There is also Kirkstall Forge station and good bus routes (the number 50) close by.
